For all divisions except T-ball, early registration with the 15% discount will remain available until January 15th, 2024. After January 15th, a 10% discount will apply until February 7th, 2024. After that time, the full registration fee will apply for any spots left and players may be wait-listed depending on available spots.

New players not previously registered with New Westminster Baseball Association (NWBA) must:

Before registering, please confirm that you are eligible to play at New Westminster Baseball Association by verifying your address is within the League Boundaries. Players must reside or attend a school within the NWBA league boundaries.
New players must present Proof of Current Address OR Proof of Current School Attended AND Proof of Age of Child at one of the information sessions.

Please bring the following documents for NEW PLAYERS to one of the information sessions:
1) Proof of Current Address - 3 documents such as a utility, cable, or landline telephone bill, insurance records, driver's license, etc. OR Proof of Current School Attended by completing a Little League School Enrollment Form.
2) Proof of Age of Child - 1 document such as a birth certificate or passport.
Returning Players who have moved outside of NWBA Boundaries
Returning players who have moved out of the geographic boundaries for NWBA since last season will be grandfathered and remain eligible to play with NWBA. Players must have been registered with NWBA in 2023. Please send an email to the NWBA Registrar after registering to confirm your move.
Little League Baseball has implemented age eligibility rules for its baseball divisions. A player's Little League age will be considered as his/her age as of August 31st in the year of the season being played (i.e if your child is turning 5 by August 31st, 2024, then their Little League age is 5, not 4.)
For the 2024 season, players should register as per the following guidelines:
T-Ball 1 Division - 4&5 year olds (September 1st, 2018 to August 31st, 2020)
T-Ball 2 Division - 6 year olds (September 1st, 2017 to August 31st, 2018)
Rookie Division - 7 and 8 year olds (September 1st, 2015 to August 31st, 2017)
Minor Division - 9 to 11 year olds (September 1st, 2012 - August 31st, 2015) (8 year olds can request to play up in Minor subject to Assessment.)
Major Division - 10 to 12 year olds (September 1st, 2011 - August 31st, 2014) ***please note 10 & 11 year olds will be assigned to Minor/Major and will be assigned to a division and team after Assessments***

For all Divisions other than T-ball 1 & 2, the 15% Early Registration Discount will apply until January 15th, 2024. A 10% Discount will apply until February 7th, 2024.
A $20 fee will be charged for any NSF cheques.
Uniform Deposit
All Rookie and older division players are required to provide to their team manager a postdated cheque (made payable to NWBA and dated July 2, 2024) for the $100.00 uniform deposit at the team practice when uniforms are handed out. This cheque will be returned when the cleaned uniform is returned at the end of the season.
Fundraising Fee
As part of NWBA's fundraising efforts, each player must pay for and sell one case of chocolates ($60.00) or pay the fee ($30.00) in lieu of chocolate sales. Please note: After March 1, 2024, the chocolate option will no longer be available.
Volunteering Fee
A deposit for the $300 Volunteering fee will apply to each family registering with NWBA and will be collected by the Team Parent of the oldest/only child in each family. NWBA is a completely parent-run volunteer organization. It is expected that every player’s parent(s) will take a role for their child's team during the Season. Training is provided where required. Families can opt for the Volunteer Buy Out Fee ($200) at the time of registration. Read more about it on the League Volunteering Fee Explanation page.
Assignment of Players to Divisions - Minors and Majors
The final assignment of 9 to 12 year old players to the Minor and Major divisions will be done after the evaluation process is completed. More information will be emailed to registrants closer to the date. While participation is not mandatory, it is HIGHLY encouraged. Assessments are tentatively scheduled for the afternoon of a weekend in late February, 2024. TO BE CONFIRMED. PLEASE SAVE THE DATE. More details and exact times to follow.
Assignment of Players to Divisions - Rookie and T-Ball
Assignment of players to T-Ball 1 & T-Ball 2 teams will be determined at the T-Ball Meet & Greet which will take place two weeks before the start of the season. Time, date and place to be confirmed by the T-Ball Coordinator.
Assignment of players to the Rookie teams will be completed by the Rookie Coordinator.
Teammate Requests
“Teammate” requests for team placement are accepted in the T-Ball and Rookie divisions. “Sibling” requests for team placement will be considered at all levels for players eligible to play within the same division. Please email the Registrar after you have registered with your request. Requests are not guaranteed.
Family Discount
NWBA provides a discount for any family that registers three or more players per season. TeamSnap will automatically apply the discount if you qualify.
Refund Policy
There is a $25.00 non-refundable fee for all withdrawals to cover our administration costs. Division fees and deposits will be refunded (less the non-refundable fee) for individuals who withdraw before teams are formed for their division. No refunds will be issued after March 15th. Refunds for medical reasons will be pro-rated to the scheduled end of the Spring Season (less the non-refundable fee) based on when the illness/injury occurred within the season. A medical note will be required.
Emergency Contact
The Emergency Contact provided should be someone other than the parent(s)/legal guardian(s) of the player (grandparent/aunt/uncle/neighbour.) Should the need arise, first contact will be made to the parent(s) or guardian(s) provided but a non-immediate family contact is also required.
