Dear NWBA Families,

We hope you are all well.

On behalf of the NWBA Board, I would like to extend our thanks and gratitude for your continuing patience and understanding while we waited to see how the COVID-19 situation unfolded this spring and how it would affect our 2020 Spring Season.

Unfortunately, the continuing circumstances mean we will be unable to proceed with anything that resembles our normal Spring Season. As such, the NWBA board will be providing full refunds for the 2020 Spring Season fees for those players in the T-ball, Rookie, Minor, Major and Babe Ruth Divisions. Players in the Intermediate, Junior and Senior divisions will receive partial refunds as they have already received their player hat (-$20.00).

Details on Refunds

If you paid online via Credit Card: we are working with SportsEngine, our registration system provider, to refund directly to credit cards. However, due to the high number of transactions, it could take 2 to 4 weeks to complete this process. Most of our registrations were made 90 days or more ago which means we cannot initiate the refunds ourselves. Going through SportsEngine also allows us to reclaim the fees we paid for the transactions. And saves us from having to write over 200 cheques!

If you paid offline via cash or cheque: please look for an email in the next few weeks from either myself or Nicole our Treasurer confirming if your payment was deposited. If it was deposited, we will ask you to confirm your address and who the cheque should be made payable to before issuing you a refund. If your payment was not deposited, we will ask if you wish the cheque(s) destroyed or returned to you.

If your fees were unpaid: your child(ren)’s registration(s) will be cancelled with no further action required.

While we are disappointed not to be able to offer our Spring Season, we are looking at ways to possibly offer baseball skills training in some form this summer and/or fall. Please watch for further details in your inbox.

Again, we are grateful for your patience and understanding while we resolve this situation. We wish you all health and happiness and look forward to the next time we can say “Play ball!”

Thanks, and please let me know if you have any questions.
